Some users get "DI" and "Line" input confused. They are unrelated and separate functions.
The Line input is for adding gain to balanced line level signals. It utilizes the balanced XLR input on the back of your rack. The Line control flips the primary and secondary of the input transformer making it a step down input and reducing the overall gain by approximately 12dB. is allows the user to use the Lola on line level material adding make up gain to low signals.
The DI input is for adding gain to unbalanced instrument signals. The DI jack accepts a 1⁄4” unbalanced cable. Inserting a cable triggers the DI relay to switch the input from the XLR input to the DI jack. The DI passes through 2 FET buffers creating a di erential signal to feed the EA-10468 primary.
Do not use the DI input and activate the Line switch at the same time. You'll get no signal.
