Technical Support
Hairball Audio kits are sold without support. The Common Build Errors and Troubleshooting Techniques article is the best place to start. After reviewing the Common Build Errors, proceed to the Troubleshooting Guide for your specific product. Walking through the product Troubleshooting Guide will help you isolate the issue. The most common issues are bad solder joints, damaged pads, or misplaced components. If you can isolate the issue to a circuit block using the Troubleshooting Guide, you should check every part, solder joint, and trace continuity in that block. Following the Guides are exactly what I use when I repair units.
I will do everything I reasonably can to help you should a build issue arise. However, build problems can be VERY tricky, even for an experienced technician. Please note that I cannot provide basic electronics instruction or troubleshoot your unit over email. We'd likely end up sending dozens of emails and still not find the issue especially if it's a bad joint or misplaced part you are not seeing. If you don’t have basic electronics troubleshooting knowledge, your best option is to send the unit in for our affordable flat rate repair.
